Exit and re-entry visa

In one sentenceA visa the business issues electronically for a non-Saudi employee to travel outside the Kingdom and then return to work within its validity, usually during annual leave.

Simply put

When a non-Saudi employee wants to spend annual leave in his home country, the business issues him an exit and re-entry visa before he travels, provided his iqama is valid.

Coordinate three things: the leave approval, the visa validity, and paying the leave pay before travel if that is the business's policy.

Example

A factory worker asked for his annual leave. His manager approved it, the business issued an exit and re-entry visa, and the accountant calculated his leave pay with the leave calculator and paid it before he traveled.

Don't confuse it with

Final exit visaExit and re-entry is temporary travel after which the employee returns to work, while final exit is leaving with no return on this iqama.
