Flexible work

In one sentenceAn arrangement that gives the employee some freedom in choosing when to start and finish the working day or how to spread the hours, while keeping to the agreed number of hours.

Simply put

In flexible work not everyone has to start at the same time: one employee starts early and leaves early, another starts late and leaves late, and what matters is completing the required hours.

The name is also used for hourly work patterns regulated by the competent government bodies with special conditions and registration, so check the Saudi Labor Law, its regulations and the rules issued before contracting on this basis.

Example

An accounting firm allowed its employees to start work at any time within a two-hour window in the morning, provided everyone is present during peak hours and the daily hours are complete in the fingerprint record.

Don't confuse it with

Part-time workFlexible work changes when the hours are worked, while part-time work reduces their number.
