mada Debit Card Network

In one sentenceThe Saudi network for debit card payments, in which the purchase amount is deducted directly from the customer's account when paying by card or phone.

Simply put

When a customer pays with mada in your store, the amount is deducted from their account immediately, and it reaches your account in the POS settlement after the fee is deducted.

The difference from a credit card: mada deducts from an existing balance, while a credit card lends to the customer, who repays later.

Example

A pharmacy sold 20,000 SAR in one day through mada cards, and the next day a single settlement for the amount less the bank's fee reached its account. The settlement must be matched with the sales report.

Don't confuse it with

Credit cardmada is a direct debit from the customer's balance, while a credit card is financing the customer repays later.
