Tax objection

In one sentenceA request the business submits to ZATCA to reconsider a tax assessment or penalty it does not agree with, with its reasons and documents, within the statutory deadline.

Simply put

Objection is a right, but it is tied to a deadline: if it passes, the assessment becomes final. That is why you should record the date you receive each decision from ZATCA.

The strength of an objection lies in its documents: the contracts, invoices and bank statements that prove your point of view.

Example

ZATCA disallowed a company's employee training expense in the assessment: the company objects, attaching the training contract, its invoices and the attendance sheet to prove it is related to the business.

Don't confuse it with

Zakat objectionThe same idea for the Zakat assessment, while this one is about tax.
