Goods issue and goods receipt notes
In one sentenceTwo documents that prove inventory movement: the goods receipt note when goods enter the warehouse, and the goods issue note when they leave it for any reason.
Simply put
No goods come in or go out without a signed document: the receipt note states the supplier, quantity and condition, and the issue note states the recipient, reason and quantity.
These documents are the basis of the item card and the entries, and the first thing you go back to when explaining count differences.
Example
100 bags of cement arrived at a contracting warehouse, and the storekeeper issued a goods receipt note after counting them and matching them with the purchase order. Two days later he issued 30 bags to a project site with an issue note signed by the site engineer, so the balance became 70 bags.
Don't confuse it with
Inter-branch inventory transferA transfer moves goods between two warehouses of the same business, so it combines an issue from one warehouse with a receipt in the other.
