Free accounting tools for businesses in Saudi Arabia
This page brings together the tools an accountant or business owner needs every month: preparing financial statements, calculating Zakat and VAT, the end-of-service benefit, and reconciling bank statements. All the tools are free, and they follow the regulations in force in the Kingdom: the 15% VAT rate, the Zakat Nisab and Hawl, and the Saudi Labor Law.
Each tool has its own page with an explanation of how to use it and how it calculates, a worked example with numbers, and frequently asked questions.
Tools that work on your files
You upload your file, the tool reads it inside your browser and gives you the result in seconds:
- Financial statements from the trial balance: upload the trial balance (Excel, CSV or PDF) and get the income statement, statement of financial position, statement of cash flows and statement of changes in equity, with financial ratios and estimated Zakat.
- POS fees from the bank statement: upload the bank statement (PDF, Excel or CSV) and extract mada, Visa and Mastercard fees and their VAT month by month.
- Statement reconciliation: match the bank statement with your books, or a customer or supplier statement with their account in your books (Excel, CSV or PDF), and extract the differences and the reconciliation statement.
Quick calculators
You enter the numbers and the result appears instantly, no files needed:
- Sharia Zakat: Zakat on wealth for individuals using the current Nisab, and estimated business Zakat from the trial balance.
- Value Added Tax (VAT): add VAT to an amount or extract it from one, and prepare the return summary from sales and purchases.
- End-of-service benefit (EOSB): calculate the benefit under the Saudi Labor Law for every way an employment relationship can end.
- Amount in Arabic words (tafqeet): convert any amount into correct Arabic words for cheques and invoices.
- E-invoice QR code reader: check the QR code on a tax invoice: seller name, VAT number, total and VAT, and the phase.
- Depreciation schedule: a straight-line or declining-balance depreciation schedule, year by year.
Your files never leave your device
The tools run inside your browser. The files you upload and the numbers you enter are not sent to our servers and are not stored. The tools are free; seeing the full result and downloading it as an Excel file requires registering each time you open a tool: your name, mobile number and email, plus a verification code sent to your email.
